Any ion generator devices deployed on this turn generate new ion storms at this point.   A storm generated by an ion generator device has a rating of seven.  The new storm remains in place until the ion generator device is destroyed (or loaded).  Note that the presence of an operational starbase in the same sector will prevent activation of an ion generator device.
